I support the discussion to integrate mental health care in the pediatric primary care settings. I would like to know how many primary care offices have a counselor on staff to evaluate and to prescreen children for mental health issues.

Also, I would like to see more collaboration between school districts and pediatric primary care offices working together to get mental health services and treatment for children identified with mental health issues as well as for their parents. Early prevention is important in preventing terrible tragedies from happening in scools and in our communities across the commonwealth.
